I was at Pep Boys, looking around and found that Mobil 1 had an oil filter for our trucks. On the box it said something about the filter being made up of synthetics. Has anyone here ever used the Mobil 1 oil filter? And would you ever recommend to use one? I am leaning more toward the oil filters from Genos.

 

NAPA Gold (Wix) are easier to find than Fleetguards.

 

I switched from the 7620 Napa Gold filters to the new 7620XE Napa Gold. The XE version is a higher efficiency filter and costs $9.20 from fleetfilter.com.

 

I'll have to check into that, I've used the 7620 and Rotella combo with good oil reports for 370,000 miles.

 

I use the mobil 1 filter, its easy to get. Seems to work fine!

 

I used Mobil 1 filter exclusively on my '98 and so far on my '07. It has a hex shaped bottom for which I purchased a filter wrench that fits exactly and can easily change the filter from the bottom.
