Mileage chips?

What are most of you guys using for mileage increase chips? I saw the Edge Mileage max advertised to produce gains of about 7%, is this the norm? I don't care about increasing hp/torque, just want to increase mileage numbers. I was considering a gear vendors unit but there pretty pricey and would take a very long time to pay for itself.

Look in the DTR store, quadzilla has a programmer just for that... it's called the milage max, and is upgradeable when you get bit by the power bug...

I am waiting to hear longer reports on mileage on the Quadzilla. It seems like it just started shipping regularly and was on backorder. Reports seem to be a little mixed in the forums I have seen but it is still very early to tell.

I have the Quadzilla XZT, which also claimed improved milage. I have not gotten any improvement in milage. I asked Quadzilla about what the difference between the XZT & their milage module was, and shoudl I really expect any MPG improvement with their milage module if I got none w/ the XZT. I asked several times, both by PM & by posting, and got ZERO responces (about the same as the milage improvement ). So, my gut feel is that you will not get a milage boost.

One thing to remember about the Mileage module, by design it does nothing at idle and nothing at WOT. If you put your foot in it, all you have is stock. Cruising is where it does it's best work.

On my TST R49AP, I have a setting that cuts fuel pressure in HALF. So, crusing don the road at 70 MPH, motor only see's half of what it normally see's, kind of like displacemet on demand (sort of). The only thing is, NO POWER on that mode. But, for crusing, you don't need it. So, when you do, just hit a button, and back to normal (or above normal depending on what button you hit)

But that does not mean that you use half the fuel. If the fuel pressure is cut in half but the duration of each injection pulse is doubled, then you're still using the same amount of fuel.

"IF" is the correct word that you used, and I do not believe it is, as I have run the TST for 11 months now, 30K+ miles, and I see in increase in fuel economy in that mode (45 states and counting I have been to)

I hear ya! That's the majic of these programers - the mix of timing, duration, pressure, number of pulses...

I cannot comment on the TST, but can on the Quadzilla XZT (Quadzilla milage module was the original question). After 13,000 miles w/ the XZT I have zero milage gain. I drive like an old lady (don't use all that 'extra' power, and have driven the same before & after I got the XZT). Furthermore I have tracked every gallon of fuel put thru my truck, so I have accurate records and a strong basis for comparison. Bottom line is that for me, the Quadzilla XZT DID NOT IMPROVE MILAGE AT ALL.

I hear ya also!!! I am fanatical about keeping records, and use the overhead for laughter I have averaged EVERY tank of fuel since day one of ownership, and all other settings, saw no difference UNLESS I altered my right foot, except on teh ecoomy mode I mentioned above....that one I noticed a difference, a shade over 1 mpg gain is what I saw. Now, to me, it is not worth it however to drive around with little power for a 1 MPG gain. I take the MPG hit, and have my power

how much was the TST? Maybe I should sell the XZT & buy a TST. At 20K miles per year, 1 mpg will save $150.

The Max Mileage box is a totally diffferent animal compared to the XZT box.

The look different, act different, there is nothing the same.

If you don't get mileage we have the very best satisfaction guarantee offered by ANYONE, EVER for something like this.

I have went through and read the reports and I do not see any "mixed results"? Where did you get "mixed results" from?

I think there was one guy that was not sure if he got mileage and the rest improved their mileage?

Either way, if you buy one and do not get mileage and you return it, then you are not out anything.
