On the high side, shoot theres guys in here that are doing just as good as him,or there in debt up to there elbows.50 grand for a truck and 10 to 20 more into it right off the bat, then the one's that do that and buy there wife a truck and spend the same on it ,you do the math.

Haha, I'm not that bad - but I did have to spring for a Z71 Suburban for my wife a year after I bought my truck. That thing does everything but give you a but massage, although it does have back heaters (not just the whole seat at one time). I do like that feature. If I ever install the rostra heaters, I may try to engineer them on a double switch so I can get just back heat. I digress, sorry to hyjack...

You can on the Chevy, I meant to refer to the Dodge. It doesn't have heaters, and while I don't like the butt warmers, I do like the back heaters for long trips when you're back gets tight. So to be more clear, since I can't command the use of English this morning - The burb has the selectable butt / back warmers, which is a feature I really like. The Dodge does not have heaters at all, and I'd like to add at least one for the wife's side. I't also like to add one to my side, but only if I can figure out how to separate the back from the butt and put them on separate switches; or something that will allow me to mimmick the functionality of the burb's heaters. Phew, that was tough without coffee.

I had a friend back in the 70's who owned a diesel Mercedes that the starter went out on and he never shut that thing off for three years . I forget what he said the starter cost but he claimed it was cheaper to leave it run . That thing would idle all night on a little over a gallon .

Man that cracks me up! NEVER shuts it off.

Everyone that was arguing, a few months back, that idling it for a little while was going to kill it, should read this.

Seems like it would be easier and better to have a climate controlled garage! I've idled for as much as 30 minutes at a time (when it's hot out to stay cool!).

But ALWAYS? no way!

By the way... If when parking SHADE takes precedence over DISTANCE you just might live in Texas!

Up here in the winter....almost all equipment idles all night, if not able to plug in, and all the pikups for the pipeline security never shut off.
