Met a guy who never shuts his 5.9 off.

My cousin took me over to the local oil tycoons house in a small town in Texas we are from, which is a good friend of his. He had 3 Dodges, 4 Fords, 1 International MXT, and various other trucks and quads. He actually let me drive a new 08 6.7 around when we needed to run to town, but thats beside the point.

Anyway his 07 5.9 "personal truck" he has done the 10 lug conversion, small lift, alligator interior, kick *** system and front and rear bumpers. But the thing that suprised me the most is HE NEVER SHUTS THE TRUCK OFF! He said since he bought it it has been turned off for maintenance only. Been running for about 1 year. We watched football for most of the day and the truck just idled all day long. Also he knew nothing about the high idle feature.

Intresting how some people treat their vehicles.

Oh and the MXT is a grocery getter......and this guy had live monkeys running around the house! The monkeys were a trip! Very cute and friendly.

Did you ask him why he never shuts it off? Especially if he is just lounging around the house watching football. Just wondering if there is a reason why he does it.

same with the MXT being a grocery getter. but hey if you work that hard to make that kind of money you can do whatever you want!

i told him if he were ever to have a problem dodge would see all the idle hours and void his warranty, didnt seem to bother him too much.

how ridiculous...and that's the last thing our environment needs. However, try telling a texas oil tycoon that he should stop doing something because it's bad for the environment.

However, he has pet monkeys, and I would like to see that!
