Maxing out load capacities

Hi Folks!

I want to increase the load capacity of my 3500 dually and am asking the experts out there what you all recommend. I will be installing a set of air bags to the rear on Monday so that it will smooth out (somewhat) the ride pulling the 45' flat bed tandem axle trailer. I haul heavy loads quite often and I want to increase the truck's pulling and loads up to a max of 26000 so as not to have a CDL.

Any suggestions and help here is greatly appreciated!

Tom

Well seeing as you are from Nevada. There was just a big discussion in the towing/RV forum about this. Nevada are now pulling pickup trucks/trailers over and making sure they comply with Dodge's GCWR. So it will not matter what you do, they will ticket you if you are over that. Not that I am saying this is right, but they are doing it. And I want to say your max is 21-23K depending on 3.73s or 4.10s, has nothing to do with Dually or SRW...

As for helping you with the larger loads, airbags will help, moving to the 19.5 inch rims and running Hankooks, Exhaust brake, if you have 3.73s moving to 4.10s... Is you truck and auto or manual?
