I did a thread search but surprisingly couldn't find anything on max egt. Also does anyone have any info from Cummins related to max egt for these engines? I have always backed off mine at 1250* because that was my understanding for my old 2001 24v but thought maybe the newer engines might be different.

That's what I've always heard, 1250°F for safety. Some on here have reported hitting as high at 1400° but I sure wouldn't do that for very long.
