ive got the nv5600 flywheel, cummins part# 3968059 can someone tell me the correct clutch option stock would be used, and what is the difference between dual mass pressure plate and disc from regular hd clutch, can you turn down the dual mass flywheels? dealer says no.

 

no you can not turn down the dmf, it must be trashed or given away for scrap immediately if not sooner. the entire dmf is total junk, get rid of everything. it is a good idea but Chryslers design was like something Alfred e Newman or the three stooges did.

 

What is it you are trying to do? What year truck do you have? You have an NV5600 flywheel but are asking about the clutch for a g56 tranny.

 

I have that part number on the flywheel, which one is it?

 

parts guy says they used same clutch on both flywheels, I don't want dualmass, and need to know this isn't one, its for a nv5600

 

You need a new parts guy the dual mass flywheel came out with the g56. The nv5600 uses a solid flywheel. Call southbend clutch they will point you in the right direction
