Manual for AAM rear axles?

I have to redo the emergency brakes on my dually and would like a manual to read through first. Anyone know of any good sources or tech notes?

Dealer doesn't want too much to do it but I just hate letting them touch my truck.

I wouldn't worry about dealer much for brakes they are pretty simple and then you will have a labor guarntee for 12k miles. Is that worth it to spend an afternoon jacking up truck, getting dirty, making 3 trips to parts store and maybe throwing a wrench or too? Pay the dealer and spend that time with your wife/girlfriend for a relaxing night out.

With today's dealer hourly rates, he may have to stay home and eat macaroni & cheese with the wife/girlfriend. If he does the work himself, they could go to Logan's or Texas Roadhouse for a real meal.

Thanks for the gift abc's, I will cherish it forever...or at least as long as I own this truck.

My dealer wants $400 to fix just the e-brake. They also quoted me $785 to replace just my upper ball joints. I purchased all the parts for the brakes, upper and lower ball joints, plus the OTC press for doing the joints and I'm still under $650 total. One day spent in my shop and I'm ahead $500. I can then put that money towards replacing the wiper motor that likes to work intermittently and replacing the tire that's worn right off the front from bad ball joints and still have enough left over to get an alignment too.
By spending one day in my shop I get five jobs done for the price of two. That's a win, win situation in my books.

The girlfriend will understand, she owns her own business and is busier than me right now.
