Now that a good synthetic is readily available for my truck (Mobil 1 T&SUV), I'm making the switch to synthetic oil. I hope it's as good as everyone says.

I'm thinking of going ahead and changing the transmission fluid at this next oil change (45,000 miles) as well. I was thinking of Redline, but it's hard to find.

I've got Mobil 1 in the differential....and will have Mobil 1 in the engine. Too bad they don't have a Mobil 1 manual tranny fluid so I can be consistent.

 

I'm thinking of doing the same but with Rotella T 5w-40.

Hoss! Finally going to do it for real this time? Don't worry, it's definitely as good as people say, and the oil analysis results demonstrate.

www.srcc.biz is a good place for redline, they are the only site i've found that has the winterized version of their fuel additives, other than buying for full retail from redline direct. They may have a good price, otherwise there are tons of places selling MTL or MT90 on the web..

Yep....I stopped by Wally World on the way home yesterday and picked up two 5 quart containers and two 1 quart containers of the Mobil 1 T&SUV. I plan to change this weekend.
