Lucus fuel additive
Lucus fuel additive
Hello, Just wanted to hear if you guys had anything good to say about this fuel additive. So far, I've notice I've lost some mileage, haven't calculated yet. I fill up to the rim without spilling and by experience I know when the fuel needle finally moves off the peg I'm at 155 miles ( with Power Service Diesel Kleen). With lucas I'm at 135!!! I measured it perfectly according to the bottles instructions. sorry for wordiness.

Lucas is the best additive on earth I promise you. It is a little thick and probably your engine is just getting used to the new liquid. Otherwise after this time and into the future you will notice a huge increase. I usually commute to college and work which is around town about 30-40 miles mostly driving under 55 and I average about 18 miles per gallon. I hand calculated my trip to Nashville this summer using Lucas and got about 24 miles per gallon at 70. This is no freakin joke and you guys can down me all you want to. I used this for a year in my 99 F250 powerstroke, now in my 01 Dodge, dad uses in in work van, his 2000 F250 powerstoke, in motorcycles. As you guys can see we swear by the stuff and buy it online at Gimmelucas.com in gallons. I bought the 5 gallon bucket for 97 bucks shipped. Your local truckstops carry it also in the gallon at a better price. I definitely suggest everyone go get some and try it out. Oh yea the Powerservice is great stuff and used it for a while til I found the Lucas, know I can never go back. Good luck everyone and enjoy your day.
Me again,
Do you guys use it exactly by the directions or make it a little thick? Does it increase the cetane boost? I bought a 32oz bottle for over $10, that's very steep isn't it? I'm going to fill up again today with it, I wait and see if I get back to where I was with the Power Service this next tank full. In this particular realm, it seems that the different strokes for different folks applies. Some additives work and others don't. Mabey it just doesn't work as well for my truck. We'll see.
thanks Jamie

No you guys bought the right one. It reads upper cylinder treatment, fuel conditioner, and low sulfer diesel replacement. So we are ready for now and the future of this LSD when it comes this year I think or next. Anyway I usually put about 10 oz per fill up. Like I put on the previous post gimmelucas.com has the case of 4 gal for about 70 bucks. you cannot beat that. At the rate I am going the gallon last me like 2-3 months. I fill up once a week at about 25 gallons. Hope that helps out and god bless everyone especially the impoverished and homeless of the Tsunami!!
I use the PS (silver bottle), and get 2 mpg highway using blended fuel here in WI. I wanted to be sure it was the additive, so I ran 2 tanks without(lost 2mpg), and when I went back to using it again my mileage came back up. I hand calculated the results, and I'm a believer!

It's all about Redline these days.
I've tried them all and have gotten the best results with Redline.
Fitzydog I'm sorry but you are trying to make it look like you jumped from 18 to 24 mpg with just the addition of the fuel additive and that's simply not the case. You can't compare mpg when you're driving in town on one test and on the highway on the other. Fitzydog, how does the lucas additive deal with water? This is about the single most important factor in choosing an additive - they all have detergents, lubricity enhancers, etc. If you aren't sure the answer to my question, I'd reconsider your 'promise' that lucas is the best.
