Not shooting the messenger. Just keep hearing about people saying "my friends brothers sisters husband talked to a guys son who knows a lady that read another lady was married to a guy that works at a gas station said the sulfur lubricates the fuel."

Here is a direct quote from Chevron about ULSD

There are several diesel fuel properties other than sulfur that will change as a result of moving to S15 (ULSD).

Lubricity:
Lubricity is a measure of the fuel's ability to lubricate and protect the various parts of the engine's fuel injection system from wear. The processing required to reduce sulfur to 15 ppm also removes naturally-occurring lubricity agents in diesel fuel. To manage this change the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) adopted the lubricity specification defined in ASTM D975 for all diesel fuels and this standard went into effect January 1, 2005.
The D975 specification is based on the High Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR) test (D 6079) and requires a wear scar no larger than 520 microns.

Not trying to jab ya, just trying to keep people informed.

I broke down this morning and bought a big ole' jug of Power Service, filled 'er up and added 12 ounces to the tank. After reading the various post, and speaking to a friend of mine that owns a small trucking company, I figured what the heck will it hurt. If nothing else at least I'll feel better knowing I tried to take care of the ole girl.

Exclamation The new Fuel Sucks!!!

Ever since I have been putting in the new fuel the engine seems to rattle more and it is harder to start and less power. This may all be in my head but I have just checked the valves and very little adj was ness. So that was not the problem. I have been driving the truck for 80,000 miles and it seems different since the new fuel Has anyone else noticed this??
