LOUD airdog!

Hey guys,
This isn't yet an emergency, but I feel if it isn't addressed very soon, it might become one!
I have an airdog 150 which is getting progressively louder. I've had it about 30,000 miles and it's always has some tone to it. Most people never even noticed it when the truck is running.
I replaced the filter roughly 2000 miles ago and ever since, it's been getting progressively louder and louder. I really noticed it tonight sitting in traffic whe. It has finally hit a tone that resonates through the entire frame and rings in the cab obnoxiously loud!
I could even hear the pump while INSIDE the gas station checking out with the truck idling in the parking lot!

Tonight, I cleaned all the winter crap off of it, Removed the filter, the water seperator, then the cap with both gears. I was hoping (expecting) so maybe see some wear on the gears by the way it sounded, but they looked perfectly intact.

I desided to fire the pump up with everything removed and having no load on it to see how loud it was.
Just as loud!
The motor seems a little jumpy as though it's wearing out. Are there brushes in this motor? I assume not. Is this motor available through airdog as a replacement part?

By the power world of technology, I am able to bring my noisey airdog straight to your living room for you to hear yourself
The 1st video is with no load and everything removed.
The 2nd is after it has been primed, and just after startup of the truck. You can tell the grid heater is still cycling off and on still.
There really is no difference between the 2 videos in terms of volume.

BTW.......if anyone else plans on doing this in the future, prepair to have a set of vice grips on stand by when removing the gear cover on these as removing this will begin to drain your fuel tank by way of siphoning I've learned the hard way and likely looked like a fool scrambling around the garage and in the back of the truck frantically looking for something to pinch the hose before it filled my drain pan

Any input would be HIGHLY appreciated!

Well I have an email into airdog. This morning after a 45 minute drive, the pump alternated between almost silent to loud again :/
Hopefully I make it home tonight.

Can you pull the motor off and check the bearings in the motor? That is what it sounds like to me.

That's my thinking too. I'm rather hesitant to pull the motor apart for fear the bearings will fall apart.
I'm talking with Kyle w/ air dog now and he was rather surprised at the noise it's making too. He said it should be very Quite without the rotor installed.

We'll see what else he says.

Yep truck runs fine. One of the videos the pump is empty and dry but in that state, it should be dang near silent.
Airdog said I'd have to buy a new motor assembly for$175

Well the emergency has officially begun :/
Tonight on the way home the CEL came on and the truck lost most power. I don't know when in the drive this happened since I was in stop and go traffic and the CEL hides behind the steering wheel.
I checked the codes and found the following:
P0237 Turbocharger Boost Pressure Sensor Low
-makes sence, no fuel, no boost.
P0483 Cooling Fan Speed
-this one is weird. Dont know why this one is here :/
P0192 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Low
-the code I was expecting to see.

Guess I have no truck now till I get the motor from Airdog. Too bad their closed over the weekend........crap!

I doubt its because of the airdog, the CP will pull fuel thru an airdog....do you have fuel pressure?

more likely a problem with either a map sensor or rail pressure sensor

i would just for the fun of it, take off the fuel line at the engine and put it is a jug or something and fire up the Air Dog, check fuel flow and for air, it should fill a gallon jug in 10-15-20 seconds.

I thought Air dog had a pretty good warranty on that set-up ! I was thinking of going with an Air Dog, but now I'm thinking maybe not !

I just put an AirDog II on my truck last month and there was a warranty paper that had to be sent in within 30 days of purchase for a limited lifetime warranty. I'll have to find my copy to see if there are any restrictions or limitations on it.

Okay folks, for those that were curious..... I got a new pump assembly from Airdog.
I installed it and started to prime it, and I thought it wasn't getting power. Turns out this new pump is TONS quieter then the old one, even when it was installed new!!!

So now that I have the old one off and the new one on, I started the truck a few times and drove it a bit. Got the CEL to turn off.

I decided to tear apart the old pump to find what failed.
It was a bearing as I expected, though im not sure how. It's packed full of grime which is why is failed!
I'll post some pictures in a few.

Edit: correction from my 1st post, this is. It an Airdog 100 rather an Airdog 150.
