quick question, I just turned 19k and I noticed my engine is alot louder than all the ones that ive heard. Could this be that i have the performance stuff on my truck and theirs are stock or may be an injector going south?

 

with miles, the engine will get louder. adding a box or other performance goodies can alter the engine noise. hard to tell if you have an injector going south... have to be more specific on engine noise, any other signs, etc etc...

 

Mine got louder as well...I think after the initial break in period they all start making more noise.

 

My got louder to win there was a electrical short in the gas gauge any strain on the electrical or feel pressure will make engine sound louder. After that problem was fixed engine went back to normal sound and every other tank of diesel I add a bottle of diesel additive to take makes a big difference it keeps carbon from forming on the injectors use the one in the gray bottle recommended by Cummings truck rounds like brand-new now keep your injectors clean and try to keep it away from the dealership.
