Lope at idle

I have replaced all injectors twice and now I have a lope at idle in park or neutral. Any advice?? No smoke. A very slight fuel knock on take off.

There are a ton of things to ask and recommend but I would start with a compression check to eliminate a mechanical problem with the engine.

After replacing the injectors twice already, you will have no trouble removing them one more time for a compression check!

Thanks StealthDiesel for the reply. The first set was bad remans.. put in second set of different brand and had problems with 2 of them. replaced those 2 now I have the lope and knock. other than that the truck ran good before injector change except for the 2149 code which is why I replaced injectors.

carefully inspect the wiring to the injectors. repeatedly, I have seen RUB throughs on the harnesses, where they are in close proximity to the injector lines, and at the top rear, where the harnesses jump to the firewall. these rubs cause the exact same problem you are describing, and they don't always throw a cel.

good luck

FCA or Fuel Control Actuator, if fuel pressure fluctuates more then 500 psi at idle then replace it.
