lookin to buy 05 3500 srw cummins good price???

whats it worth??? 145k had a plow and a gooseneck hitch but neither are installed now so i know this truck was worked, but thats why we buy them...right? lol the truck is ok exterior/interior is perfect. first talk, the guy tells me it wont start without ether "Edit", first downfall. IT started and ran great so i took it for a 30min drive with no problems, shut the truck off it would not start back up???

Run away from it as fast as you can. It shouldn't have any problems starting when its up to operating temps.

You know though, if you get enough information and back round on making the truck start with out ether. And let the salesman, or owner dont know your case you could get a good price on it if you do the work yourself. If you get it at a very low price fix it back up, then you know your good to go for another 300,000 +. Just my two cents. Sometimes buy real low fix everything and you come out better in the long run cause you can fix everything that was weak to begin with....

True,

My concern with the truck you mentioned is the "Snow Plow" tends to be tough on things, especially when you hit curbs or sidewalks.. The bad start could be an LP and / or injector pump or it could be a simple as getting a new flash on the ECM.. Like I say it's a buyers market out there no need to dive into trouble when another is just around the corner.. Have you done a car-fax or have the dealer run the VIN yet?
