Long crank to start after sitting

Well, I'm looking to get some confirmation of what I'm seeing.

I have a 2004 HO Cummins with 269,xxx miles. After the truck sits for a period, it takes a while for it to start. Once it has run and I shut it off, it starts pretty normal. I've confirmed the lift pump is working via pressure gauge. The pressure relief valve on the rail is dry. The oil level has not gone up and no smell of diesel. I replaced the original injectors are 150,xxx miles because they would smoke out an intersection. They were new 100hp bosch units from Exergy.

I think I have a leak on the high pressure side from the injectors. What do you all think?

Things to check;
  1. Confirm your rail pressure during startup cranking if you can.
  2. Check the torque on the injector connector tubes (critical).
  3. Pick up a fuel rail block off tool to isolate injectors one at a time to help identify which one might be leaking by.

UPDATE - It was pulling air. I found a loose clamp near the fuel tank that started to drip. Tightened the clamp and now it starts fine.

Best fix - using a screwdriver that I already owned!

Thanks for the help!

Zero dollar fixes are always the best. Thanks for the update.
