Lets talk APPS

So what determined where it was mounted over the years? What is the proper reset method for a thirdgen? When resetting does it effective reset the TV cable as well?

Let's discuss.

What exactly is your truck doing that makes you want to mess with the APPS?

Fill out your sig too so we know what you are dealing with....

I just want to learn a little bit more about it and it's "learned" values, the reasoning behind the different locations.

I don't know exactly how it "Learns" but my 03 shifted really quickly through the gears after I had it a few months and I ended up constantly resetting that APPS and adjusting the TV cable way back just trying to prolong my shifts some. I never could get it to where I was really happy with it....

Yes, this truck has all the same stuff except it's got the 48RE. It shifts way way better than the 03 47RE did. In fact, it shifts "almost" as good as the 68RE did in the 08 I had. I swear, if some of you guys haven't driven a newer 6-speed auto truck you should try it. That trans is dead on with shift points.....
