Lent friend truck

Well I lent my friend my truck to plow with. (I have been sick) Well the wiper fell apart somehow. Ok no biggie it was a blizzard. But he bought a $21 rainx one. Then he tells me the the defroster wont go on. Now its only blowing out vents. He claims he got it to blow out defroster. I just read to try switching it on low.

Ok it also came back with the engine lisght on. I got 2 codes p0148 and p0438 (cluthc fan error) Now I forgot to put truck back to stock before letting him plow with it. So maybe it just threw an error. I have the smarty Jr on it. It runs fine plenty of power. I also am a bit behind on changing fuel filter. So i plan on changing filter soon and just clearing errors. Any thoughts on the blend door. Any easy fix?

Here is some advice I got from a friend. Lending out your truck is like lending out your wife, either way they both come back %$^#ed.

I do not borrow peoples stuff, because when I do, I break it and end up buying them new stuff. I might as well have the new stuff instead of them. I've lent out some equipment before and I used it for 3 years straight without an issue. I lend it out and not even a day later, bolts are broken, belt guard is bent and things just are not right. There are exceptions to every rule, but lending things out, can go badly...

I agree. I hate borrowing things because I don't want something to happen, and harm a relationship. I don't mind lending things out, but I only do it if I am prepared to lose it.

Ok so i really didnt lend it to him. I had an obligation to plow a parking lot. So he worked for me.

Well the Defroster works with the change on low. I guess I never noticed that. I took the plow off and drove it on the highway and got it up to 80mph and codes cleared after a restart. plus I dumped in some FPPF fuel treatment.

But I noticed today he dented my rear bumper. GRRR well not that mad really it was dinged in a few places. Just from touching a fence post. Keep in mind i made money off this whole deal still. So I am ahead still
