K,
I don't mean to be condescending but some claims are so far fetched that it is just hard to imagine they're true. Please show us your methods, I'm eager to learn.
I still can't see how you can average 80 MPH on a long trip unless you start your averaging when you are up to speed and stop your averaging before you slow down. My over all average is about 45 MPH and I drive over 70 all the time on the highway. About 75% of my miles are highway miles. Maybe you are one of those guys that must pass everyone on the road regardless of speed. As soon as you slow down for a signal in a small town somewhere or stop for fuel or stop to eat, your average is below 80 unless you've been driving 100 for a long time. So, fine, you own the road and can do what you want. Now join the mileage test and show us how to get 20 MPG at 80 plus MPG. I want your mods on my truck. Not claiming it isn't true, I just want you to show me how to do it.
I'm just trying to standardize all these claims. And as I've said before, I get over 200 MPG with my truck over and over on my trips. So what, it's only when I'm coasting on the highway.
