At least its in the driveway...

2005 3500 DWR 4x4 QuadCab (90k miles)
SuperChips FlashPaq 3805 (tow mode)
and no other mods...

I've had this truck a few months now, and have already had the 48RE rebuilt. Lost that in the middle of the ice storms

Anyway... I've put about 2500 miles on the truck since the tranny rebuild. The truck has been sitting for the past few days.

Today I needed to run some errands and warmed the truck up for about 15-20 minutes. I drove approximately 10 miles into town and shut down. When I came back to the truck, it started right up with no issues.

On one of my final turns for home, I noticed a CEL, and not even a minute later the Trans Temp light came on. I had simply been cruising and hadn't been rough at all. It was just an easy drive on flat pavement.

Since there wasn't anywhere to turn off, I kept running at a reduced speed. I noticed that my Tow indicator was also on and that my RPM's were over 2k, which never happens at this speed.

After about 1-2 miles, the Trans Temp light went off as well as the Tow mode light. The only light that remained lit was the CEL.

When I got into the drive and up to the house, I shut down.

figuring I could just flip the switch and get a code, thats exactly what I did. Nothing.... not even a 'Done'.

Heres the interesting part...
The truck won't start at all. I turn the ignition to the on position and everything looks ok. Except the preheater/wait-to-start doesn't come on. The Sentry light goes off, then in about 1 second turns back on solid, followed by more idiot lights, then Low Fuel light comes on and finally the CEL again. All in sequence and about 1 second between. Everything in the truck appears to function, and the starter will crank... but nothing outside the truck(pump, etc) and obviously no start.

I'm completely stumped!

Might be a place to start.

Good luck

Had some odd problems with a no start on a 99 PSD with a super chips. Unload back to stock and try again. I had it happen one time, reloaded stock ran fine. Reloaded hot program later same day the put 80,000 more trouble free miles. Good luck.

I already tried that... the flasher can't communicate with the truck
I might have to try the restore method. It's raining now, so it might have to wait until morning

ok, so I've checked the wiring harness behind the AC compressor... all clean.

darn flashpaq can't sense ignition on status when trying to do anything.
can't read codes or anything with that turd. I can't even do the restore.
*** could be causing an ignition switch prob?

anyway.... I've gotta be missing something!

Its just a guess, but have you tried the other key???.. Maybe there is something wrong with the programming in the key, and the truck is shutting everything down.
