Leaking rear diff

Just came back from hauling a car up from DE to CT and noticed, oil spots on the car, looked under the truck and sure nuf the diff was dripping oilfrom the front where the yoke enters. It's been @ dealer for a week now, they've replaced the seal but are still waiting on a new driveshaft. My question at this point, do you suppose the vibration that I had on take off had anything to do with causing the leak? Would that explain them replaceing the drive shaft? Just for background I had taken it in for that vibration when the truck was new, explained that it seemed to be there whether heavy or light, and whether I accelerated easy or hard. I was told their best guess was axel wrap! didn't make sense to me but it wasn't that bad so I lived with it. I'm guessing they're living with it now too. Fortunately I don't need the truck right know.
