Hi Guys,

On this bulb issue, I found something else with my truck, it kept giving the idiot light with no lights out, I checked the sokets like has been mentioned for overheating, but no problems ( have since changed to new style LED), after 6 months of mystery chimes and warnings, the only thing I found to affect the dash light was to take off the tail lights, the 4 screws the hold down the light board to the housing (on mine) must be tightened exactly the same all the way around, if you put 2 more turns in one than another that dash light comes on, the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I told the dealer and said I believe it to be defective , they wouldn't replace it because the lights worked, now it's out of warranty anyway.

Occassionally it will still trip the light when taking an awkward turn that includes a sharp transition.

By the way Silverstars in now 3 years (no problems ) even in the fog/running lights ( the higher watt version), they really put out good driving light even on wet roads. The LED's were tricky to get to work at first then the company sent me new ones for the Dodge (?????) no charge, if you go with the LED's just be sure to get the ones with front and back diodes.

Take it easy

"lamp out" light just came on this morning, my lights were'nt even on at the time... I can't find a light out anywhere... how liklely is this thing with the tail lights melting or whatever? Could it be from offroading? Maybe something came loose somewhere... How would I track it down without going nuts? Seems likes theese little problems come in groups on theese trucks Just hope it all does'nt start going downhill from here, like my
2nd Gen did

Two days later a brake light decided to go out... replaced it, no more lamp out light and all is well.
