Keeper 600

Ok, I read about all the hesitation problems on the new 600 motors but I would like to hear from posters that received good units since its inception. I'm about to pick mine up from the dealer in a few days.

Mine ran poorly until i had the reflash .The rattle from the 3rd injection event is still there ,but thats what the stereo is for.I have just over 2000 miles now and the economy has gotten a little better 14 to 16mpg and thats with 315's.Massive low end grunt , but the cat is going to have to go the coolant temps are higher than on my 03 ho And while i dont have a pyro yet im sure that the kitty cat is resticting the exhaust enough to cause higher temps. All and all im happy with this truck

Mine's got about 1700 miles and it's good to go. It's been in the 70's here this week and I had the oppourtunity to ride around with the windows down . A man and his Cummins it's a beautiful thing......

I did have a little surge hesitation, like it had some bad fuel but has gone away completely now. I 've not have mine reflashed yet, I'm just waiting to see how that works out for people. Shawn

So far so good. I had the reflash at 200 miles, no hesitation since then. Have about 700 miles on it now. As mentioned, fuel economy is not great, but I expect that with any new motor. I am hooking it up to my 7,000# TT in a week or so, and will try to get things really heated up for the first time. It's gonna be very hard to keep it at 55 MPH on this first tow. After that, I plan on taking her in for new oil/filter and rear end lube. I'm very happy with my purchase, with the exception of a few minor things.

900 miles and not one single complaint. Great truck!

I was towing my 5000# enclosed utility trailer the other day and was "stuck" in the fast lane doing 70 MPH trying to get out of people's way behind me going even faster. Because of that 50MPH restriction until 1000 miles, I was getting nervous driving that fast but couldn't move over to the right as the lane was blocked. So I punched it and it gave me a shiver! It started to pull away like you'd expect a V8 powered car would at 70MPH! Truly amazing.
