i was looking the other day and saw the build date on my truck was August/2002 and the engine build date was July/2002 what is yours??? engine # 56945109

 

Don't know the build date but bought it off the lot in October '02.

 

Ya' got me beat. Build date 10/02 (on door sticker).

 

what was the first month the common rail was released

maybe i got the first one that is scary its a woundering i havent had more problems than ive had injectors is the only major thing so far and i think everyone that has 100k miles or more has had that problem

 

09/02......106k miles and have had all injectors, water pump, tranny lines and some rail fitting replaced! Everything seems top notch now though!

 

Just checked the door on mine, it is 9/02. 85k miles and only thing replaced is alt. bracket and front axel u-joints.

 

03/03 here.

Headgasket replaced at 60k miles(bought the truck like that).

Upper & lower balljoints at 85k miles(I blame them on oversized tires and the fact that they are not greaseable from the factory).

Besides that, at 90k miles the truck has been nothing short of great.

My build date is September of 02. What problems did you guys have with your injectors on the 03 as i have 120,000 miles on mine.

 

Build date is 6/10/03 which also happens to be my birthday. Only had to replace ball joints and u-joints and we're at 105,000 miles.

 

the first problem i had with the injectors is that 2 of them blew and was filling the enging with diesel fuel which thinned out my oil and burnt the bearings out of my turbo. and now i think the other four are going bad because i'm having a realyl bad hard start issue i was stupid and only replaced 2 when they went bad at 103000 miles now i have 112000 miles

i also had to change a ball joint and 2 ujoints one in the front axle and the ujoint at the rear diff.
