It's Lift Pump

It's lift pump. It's lift pump. Fun for a boy and a girl. So now the song has been sung (slinky tune), staying all stock. 04.0. Who's got the best price? I'd like to avoid a tank install, as I still have the factory driver side pump. I prefer the frame rail mounts. I liked the Airtex I put on the 99 but I don't remember
where I got it.

I'm not about to admit that Ive still been saying I gotta get that FP gauge ordered. Especially after preaching to everyone else about having one installed.

Hey, man... you know what you need to have a good truck. If you don't have it, shame, shame, double shame...

Well the two good things to come out of this is one, I was able to finally talk my buddy at work to let go of the Toyota and get a real truck so my brothers Ford wasn't needed. And two. I get to work on my truck.

Mine failed a few months ago, I got the replacement from Napa...about $140 bucks and an hour to change it. I know I should have spent $500 on the Aircat or something, I just couldnt see spending that kind of money at the time. The original lasted 140,000 miles, I'll be happy if the replacement lasts half that time.

Well I think I think it's time to declare that I have the best wife on the planet.

On the way in, we're riding together, she tells me to turn down the radio, we need to talk. She says, """baby I know your fitna spend a pile on money on a new lift pump (she used the right name for it) and that gauge you've been talking about getting too, but I think I wanna spend some money too. I wanna get me a gun. Not a baby gun, but one that if I ever have to point it at someone, they'll actually die of {{doing something in their pants}} when they see it pointed at them. I've been looking and I think I wanna go with a 45"""

I was just on the brink of crying of happiness.

Where can I find a woman like that (to teach common sense to my first wife)? Next thing out of her mouth might just be.... "Instead of spending all that money on a Lift Pump and guage, why not just buy a new truck?"

i think no man should ever show his wife how to use a 45. Back to the topic. Would a fuel pressure gauge show u if ur not pushing enough fuel or is there some check engine light that will warm you before the injection pump is damaged thus requiring you to get a better lift pump.

Well, I'm gonna. Back to topic. Maybe. On my 99, I saw the pressure getting weak. Since I didn't follow my own preaching, I can't say if it got weak. However, I change oil and fuel filters often and on the last fuel filter change, it primed itself in seconds with seemingly no effort, so it was strong no very long ago. This one seemed to just poop out. A gauge would verify that, but so did opening the line and seeing nothing coming out with the pump running.
