intake heater

code p2609 set the light off only when I use the glow plugs. where can I find this heater and the relay to check out the problem? 2007 ram 2500 5.9

The heater grid is in the intake manifold. the relay is on the passenger side fender, it has a fusible link that I have had to replace on a truck at work before.

You have a Cummins it does NOT have glow plugs only a heater in the intake manifold to make the air a little warmer when starting in cold weather.

thanks for that info vangasman, I'll have to get under the hood and look around. thanks also lary ellis I did not know there where no glow plugs. interesting. learn something new every day.
