Question injector line replacement

Forgive me if this has been covered before but I couldn't find what I am looking for.
I'm wondering what the procedure is for replacing an injector line on an '06 as far as getting the air out of the line. Does it need to be primed in some way prior to first start?
I'm not there yet but with 85k on the clock and reading about that #4 line cracking I'd like to know before I get there. ( I may just get the jump on it and replace it before it goes bad.)
Thanks.

Just install line no bleeding necessary. Never crack open fuel line on a common rail diesel like you have with engine running. 20,000 PSI fuel pressure can penetrate skin and could kill you or cause serious hand injury. For warned.

Big Iron is correct. Yes, it may have a miss for a few, but that will clear quickly.

You should also check high pressure fuel tube torque before installing fuel line. Tighten to 37 ft. lbs then install fuel line.

if the isolator is kept tight the line will not crack, use locktight on the screw and tighten hard, buy from cummins, the last one i bought the superseded number was 5289447, you can change it out on the side of the road in ten minutes , we carried a spare one with us until we figured what caused them to crack. you need a 3/4 or 19mm open end and a 10 mm socket to change one. more than half of our 06's have the original lines on them with several times more mileage than you have. if you ever do break one, save the short end and braze the line shut for a test cap and tool.
