I have installed my injectors and now have a knock coming from the engine, i think it might be a fuel knock. My question is are the injectors supposed to be free of fuel past the o rings in the hole, I pulled on back out and it had fuel all over it. I thinks its becuase i have droped the connector tube(the one that goes through the block) on the tip that has caused the leak on the injector end..

 

there will be some fuel in the head between the o-ring and the copper washer at the tip. the design of the injector, when it opens, it spills trapped fuel and the pressure differential between the needle valve. the control cartridge [magnet] does not itself lift the needle.. you will have over a liter an hour of fuel spillage coming down the injector return drain tube in the back of the head.
