That might answer one of the questions I have jumbling my brain.

I was standing out in front of the truck on the passenger's side when my boy started it up. During the start cycle I heard something like a pop-off valve releasing pressure, I had now idea where it came from but it sounded like it was on my side.

I was thinking it might be the waste gate on the turbo but then again, I know nothing about how the waste gate on the turbo works. Now I'm thinking it might have been the pop off valve for the excess fuel pressure.

My build date is May 04 and the MPG has not gotten above 12 in town or on the hwy. The truck now has 4500 miles on it, the only difference in what you guys are saying is that my truck still pulls strong.

I will have it checked out when I take it back on the 17th for some cosmetics. My wife keeps bugging me to have the cab clearance lights installed.
