Improved Head Lights???

I have searched around and found a few threads about better bulbs and such. But most of the info was 2 to 3 years old. Surely there is some higher quality stuff around now. If so what are you all running for nice clean bright head lights and fog lights. I drive a stretch of HWY thats about 35 miles and its got deer all over. Just wanting some lights so I can see them before they see me. thanks in advance. 06 Mega cab

Wow your complaining about 06 lights? I am going to do the sheet metal upgrade on the 05 to get into the 06 to 08 lighting category.. The 08's are plenty bright for me..

I just spoke with a fella from there and he said all a guy needed was the Bi Xenon Harness and the Converson kit. He said with the Dodges, about 3 out of 10 have flickering issues. If they do, send it back. There didn't seem to be anything else special they sell for the Dodge to keep this from happening. Also, there is a $20 off every $85 dollars you spend. So, the 8k Bi-Xenon kit with the harness is like $276 and you get it for around $216 or something. Pretty good deal.

Whatever you do stay away from the stupid "HID look" bulbs that plug into your existing plugs. They give you a bluish tint which actually reduces your depth of view and reduces your contrast. Add that to the ridiculous glare they always produce and I just don't understand why anyone would buy these stupid things.

Whats funny is I have an 06 and 4 PIAA driving lights in my TDK bumper. With the brights and my PIAA's on, there still not as bright as my 08 Chevy Work truck. Our Dodge lights suck compared to the Chevy lights. There litterally twice as bright. Jump in a newer Ford and Chevy at night.....then turn your Dodge lights on. They look like dims when there on high. Terrible.

You're losing light output with those 8000k's, the 4300 are the brightest you can get

Sylvania makes one, the SilverStar in a H13/9008 bulb so it fits the stock lights and connectors.

AutoZone should carry it .... it's one I'm looking at having put in my '06.

I have the SilverStar Ultras in my motorcycle and 6000K HIDs in my car and would take the HIDs anyday over the SilverStars. Actually, I was disappointed with the SilverStars especially for the price that I paid for them.

Thanks for link, those look to be nice and bright. I would like to know more about what 4CEFED said about losing light. Does he have any hard evidence proving that the 4300's are the brightest. Also I forgot to tell you all that I have a Ranch Hand Replacement bumper on the truck now. (Just in case I don't see the little 4 legged fawker in time, atleast I have a chance to save front end and coolers.) With that said my fogs are back behind the bumper and some expanded metal, so I'm not sure anything will help those lights. Does anybody know of any other brands or suggestions.

hmm, I guess I must be seeing things then because I don't have that problem and I can see much better than the factory lights

I've got PIAA Extreme White Plus headlights(H13-9008) and fog lights(9006), whiter and brighter than stock.
