Idle behavior changed

As soon as the cold weather hit here (a long time ago in CT), my truck would run at normal RPM ~700 for the first few minutes, then ramp up to 1000 RPMs. This is when the temp is 20 degrees or so.

This week the truck started jumping up to 1200 immediately on starting, then levelling off at 1000. Once I drive it a bit it behaves normally. Idling at 700, but if I stop and idle in park for a few minutes it ramps to 1000, if I touch the brake it goes back to normal (around 700).

Is this something I should be reporting to the dealer? I have no mods, just gauges. Jumping right to 1200 at less than 20 degrees doesn't sound healthy to me.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

It's normal depending on temperature. I think it is explained in the manual.

totally normal! it is the automatic high idle feature. it kicks in, when the temp reaches a certain threshold. around 30 degrees?
