i want plumes of the ozone eating smoke!!!! i want the obnoxious diesel noise!!!! i get a little but not much smoke and she sounds good but i want the volume turned up, i think if i get rid of my cat and muffler it would help, i like the lookis of my banks duals and want to keep them, so just sticking in some strait pipe in place of the cat and muffler should help right? it shames me that my 99 5.9 gas is 10x louder than my diesel when the diesel shames the gas in everyway, even my 99 5.2 gas has more bark with far less bite, HELP!!!

 

i will take your stock exhaust stuff. and you dont want smoke you want horse power. you just sound ignorant when you say you want smoke. get your truck tuned and you will have gobs of smoke but from buning up the tires not unburned fuel. oh and soon i garentee your going to be smogging your truck so fyi be carefull.

 

Just put a Smarty on it if you want smoke. Be prepared for a tranny upgrade soon. Stock programing will not yield the plumes of smoke you are after. But there again be careful as people and gov't agencies are cracking down on smoky diesels rolling smoke at every intersection.

 

......and this is exactly why there are people that hate diesels.

 

its amazing how much things have changed for us in the last 6 years. it seems as though we are hated as much as thugs. i used to drive my truck around with pride! now i just try not to put out any smoke because i know people will bich about it. i feel like a convicted sex offender running around with a sign that says im human scum!!! please dont try to get as much smoke as you can. its just going to make our hobby and love for diesels suffer. ok?

 

yeah the emissions thing i hope wont happen, we don't even got them for gas rigs. i can live without more smoke but i want more sound, i definetly want more power, i have only had my *** handed to me twice by any other diesels and it's the same **** duramax, and i hate to say it but it sounds much better than mine, although i was cheered up by eating a porsche up on the drive into work today...

 

Adding the X2 stacked with my BDTD and CL makes tons of smoke if I lug it, sometimes it happens by accident and I feel guilty so I turn things down normally.

Obnoxiously loud diesels spewing tons of black smoke doesn't do any of us any good I don't think.

yeah smoke is cool for about 10 minutes. but then you realize all the downsides to it. my daily driver barely smokes with my smarty on 90 and that is the way i like it. its a sleeper that way. smoke is a bad thing most of the time
