well to continue with my saga... the transmission place i had had it at, well he admitted defeat... on Monday. so Monday night i take it to the dealer. he calls me today to say that i need a transmission module part no. 56040478GA and transmission wiring part no. 56045739CA. and tells me that it's going to be over $1050.00 with labor. can anyone give me some insight on the problem? or tell me to bite the bullet and give them the money.

Make sure they the TSB for corroded connections FIRST. If that doesn't fix it then you are pretty much stuck giving them the $$, or doing it yourself.

was the tsb for the connector or the whole wiring harness?

ECU A&B connectors, they get corroded and don't make contact. This impacts possibly all functions, including the PCM that you evidently have,
