how many quarts of oil does a 2004 take

12 quarts or 3 gallons. Pretty sure it's the same for 03-05's. Not sure about earlier years.

mine says 12 but thats to full it tends to blow out, the oil level should be in the middle of the full area on the dipstick, it takes about 11 to 11.5 to get their

Mine takes 13 quarts to get to the full line, I called the dealer and they said that that is correct 12 is the crankcase capacity and the filter takes another quart, are they high or is my truck jacked up?
