How many of you see moisture from the Rear pan gasket??

I posted back in january that I had a drop of oil getting ready to drip from a rear pan Gasket bolt. I snugged them all down a tiny bit and it has pretty much stayed dry ( A little moisture but no formation of the drip). Last night I had my drip forming again. I again wiped it down. I was told by Many that this was pretty much the norm, just wondering how many of you out there had seen some oil moisture from the Rear pan gasket/Bell housing area?

Not from blow by tube...

Thanks a bunch!!!

PS I started using AMSOIL 15/40 Synthetic about a month before the first time I noticed it. From what I understand the newer trucks have Gaskets that don't react to Synthetic like the older trucks did. " Used to be" that switching to Synthetic MADE leaks, but from what I hear that is no longer the case...

Truck has 21,000 miles

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
An occasional drop of oil is not to be fretted. It is a diesel, right!

Should not leak. Not the norm on these engines.Might want to pull those back oil pan bolts out one at a time and put some sealanyt on them.Pan gaskets really leak.Rear main seals do.Thats also why theres engine dye and a black light.

I've had that smae problem on my two CTD powered dodge trucks as well as seen it on a lot of 5.9 powered equipement. They are know for it.

Definitely they SHOULDN't leak, yet they do.

If ur under warranty I'd take it in and gripe.
