158,000 and still on the original ones! I've also had them out twice! Once for u-joints and once for ball joints!

Vote above for 50-75,000.

I still wonder if mine needed to be changed. I had a rumbling that was actually fixed with the front diff bearing pack replacement. The wheel bearings were first and didn't fix it. I still have the old ones and haven't checked the new ones yet to see if they are the same as the old. The old ones had some play when you lifted the front and moved a wheel. I expect the new ones to be tight but its worth the check. Tomorrow.

I've been gettin a noise out of mine that I can feel in the floor board on my feet from time to time. I'm going to check it out tomorrow. About everyone I know with a 3rd gen has had U joints wear out with little mileage on their trucks so I'm thinking that may be it, but it doesn't sound like it.

50K and was fixed under warranty, but what about when out of warranty....I installed a EMS Off Road Hub Conversion Kit and gained 4 MPG. Also get to use 4Low with out going 4x4.

Not Long Enough!

Weakest link in the entire drive line of the truck.... if I go on any futher my bloodpressure will start to skyrocket so I'll leave it at that.

Otherwise, I still love my Cummins powered Dodge.

When I sold mine after 250,000 hard miles my front bearings were still going strong.
