600+ here, and it'll only take about 31 gallons. By that time the low fuel alarm is screaming at me.

I don't have a overhead console in my truck and i've never realy calculated my mileage on the higway.

Tommorow im leaving to Nebraska for the week and I would like to see what im getting. What's the best way to calculate milage. Fill you tank to the tip top, run it until you stop and divide your total miles traveled by gallons put in?

1.) Fill it up to the top.

2.) Restart the Odometer.

3.) Drive it till it's empty.

4.) Fill it up again.

5.) Divide the number of miles driven by the gallons put in the second fill-up.

Sounds easy enough. I'll see if I get at least 15-16mpg. I will be towing a 12' trailer full of furniture/boxes, i'll have the bed loaded down aswell.

22.5 MPG not towing, approximately 15 MPG Towing a 4800 lb Travel Trailer through the Hills of NS at highway speeds. Dont know how many miles that works to on a tank.

I got the best mileage outta my truck ever this week. Filled up with about 30 gallons tonight and got 558 miles to the tank...still had 1/8 tank left so I think I coulda easily reached the magical 600 mile mark. Anyways, that tank yielded me like 18.6 MPG....mostly thanks to the addition of the Smarty along with the miles being 75% highway/25% town driving.

Until the last couple of tanks...I only got like 425-450 miles with about 1/8 tank of fuel left. Needless to say, I'm happier than a fat kid in a candy store!

Well, I'm at about 360 miles and gauge is almost to "E". I plan to fill up today, but something is obviously wrong. I gave a pretty penny to have the Fass installed and have my in-tank LP switched back to the old style, then the tech took my new style LP after I told him I wanted to keep it. Now I'm stuck with this old style that doesn't work right for whatever reason, and he probably knew all along. I'd like my fuel gauge to be accurate. I think the real story will be told today after I fill up.

Any suggestions?

Driving 70/75 mph RPM is about 2300, all hwy miles, I average 500 miles when the Low Fuel Dingger sounds, take about 29/30 gals to fill up.
