What size are the tires? Anything bigger than 285s cant be recalibrated on the 06 and up unless you get a smarty that's the only way to cal speedo for bigger tires.

I belive I've heard it said(the technical term) as resetting the pinion factor! Then you just add the rev/mi.....correct me if I'm wrong

The pinion factor on the '06 and later can't be changed. The '06 and later ECM has a selection of tire sizes preprogrammed in that can be selected. The largest size available is 285/70-17.

I think the 285/70R-17 is the factory tire size on the Powerwagon. Because of that, I think they can reprogram for that size.

I had my 06 recalibrated for 285's. It can be done. Besides gear ratio, the ECM still needs to know what tire size the truck has to accurately display MPH's.

Do a search, someone posted that you can go over 285s by reprogramming the ABS. Don't know how this works, but read several posts on it. Maybe someone will chime in with some details. If I can find it I will post it.

Yes, reprogram the abs module with revolutions per mile of the tire, not the tire size. I believe that is the option when they select other vs. the tire sizes listed. I think the tires.com website has most info on all the popular sizes.
