how do i reset my comp?

how do i reset my comp?

The other day my batteries froze and my truck wouldnt start had to jump it. Now i have codes p0237 p2509 p0483 p0573. I want to reset the ecu to see if these go away. I tried searching every word a different way and cant find the procedure thought it might be stickied somewhere too and still cant find it, how do i do this. thanks

disconnect both batteries (positive and ground) and let sit for about 10 minutes, reconnect and start

ok i remember i was watching trucku once they had an 06 dodge where they took off the terminals and touched them for a sec but i didnt know what way to do.

also is it normal for dumbs codes to pop up when the batteries die while cranking it?

yes, the ECM requires a certain amount of juice to operate and read all sensors correctly. low juice= "computer don't know what to do"

ONLY IF YOU REMOVE BOTH BATTERIES COMPLETELY!!


remember these trucks batteries are tied together so don't be touchin em together if you have not removed both batteries. We do this at the dealership on occasion when the star scan or drb is being tied up by another tech
