How do I remove hub and ujoints 2003 4wd

Help

How do I remove hub and ujoints in a 2003 4wd. I have the rotor/brakes off. Have removed the back four bolts and the antilock sensor and the axle/wheel bearing nut. Is there something I am missing. I do not have my book available.
I put a wheel puller on it to no avail. I don't want to break something.

It was squeaking in the tire area. Sounds like it is coming from the ujoint area after I got brakes off. Wheels shimmy back and forth when I turn hub around like tire is turning(everything off). Bad Ujoint? Looks good-can't tell for sure. How much up and down play should front axle going to diff have?

I only work on them on the side.

Help!

Hub

I read some where on here that DO NOT use a wheel or any kind of puller on the hub itself. They seperate real easy. If you have it stripped down reach around and grab one of the shafts and see if there's play. If so shot u-joint. If it's got play in the hub then it's bad. I have a buddy that has had to do hubs twice and only had 90K on the truck. His was a 03 also. Also I found out on mine that there is no bearing on the axle till the pumpkin. At least pass. side. Bill

Leave the bolts that hold the hub to the housing in just back them off 1/4 to 1/2 space. Then use a air hammer with blunt end and drive it out hitting the heads of the bolts(each one little at a time) SPRAY IT DOWN INSIDE AND OUT WITH PEN. LUBE FIRST Sometimes they can be a B&^ch to get out be slow and NOO heat. They will come out No pullers they mess up the bearings.

The bolts are on the backside by the u joint. Ive done lots of theses on 1/2 and 3/4 tons.
