home made bhaf question..

when you guys do your own air intake, what do you do with the sensor in the tock air box? then does the new filter go directly into the flex hose, or do you lengthen it? filter part #'s and extras need would be great. thanks.

I moved the battery so I could have more filter space. I built a big tee at the top of the attenuator and used two big round paper elements - one forward and one to the rear of the tee. I mounted the sensor in the center of the tee branch. Most guys buy rubber fittings to adapt and extend to a single filter element and some of them lose the attenuator so it makes more noise. Craig

I pulled the airbox out and used all the stock parts. You need a piece of 4" tubing to slide into the neck of the BHAF because the rubber is too flexible to connect the elbow directly to it. You have to be very careful putting the air temp sensor in the round tubing because it has a flat base and the ears will break off if you crank down to hard on the screws. You just have to be a bit creative with that.....
