Hole in intake?
On my 2005 I just noticed that there seems like a threaded hole in the intake that doesn't have a bolt in it? It is located in the front between the 2 bolts that hold together the intake just in front of the airdam that comes from the intercooler. It is treaded and about 1/2" deep. Looks like it goes to the inside of the intake. I took off a intake bolt from my 92 (testing) and it screwed right in. Does it block anything? Any boost leak from there? Should it be opened or have a bolt in there. I don't think it is one that needs to be torqued to hold it together, just surprised to see it. Any harm in plugging it? Place to put a boost gauge connection?
Just scares me to see it there.

I believe factory tooling. If you look at the older 2/3rd gens, this is where the TPS sensor and electronics bolted up to. I looked and I have one, goes down about an inch and that's it, nothing in the intake. I've seen some guys bolt up compressors and all to this spot, makes sence, I mounted mine under the battery box. Hope this helps

It shouldn't go thru. The '05s don't have the ground wire for the grid heaters any more. They use a graphite gasket on the top and bottom of the grid heater block to obtain grounding. If it's the hole that I'm thinking of it's just the unused ground wire anchor point.
