Hey guys-- with proper maintenance and low to no bombs and good driving, the engines should be good for 1m without a lot of difficulty. The rest of the truck will be falling apart around you though!! 650k is a lot, but then again, not really. This has to be an awful lot of unladen freeway miles.

650K is nothing that's about 4 years worth of driving for a hotshotter running 3000 miles a week. If an N14 or ISX in a big truck can run 1 million miles with routine maintinence pulling 80,000 lbs most of their lives, and that's what they normally do and are expected to do, these little ISB's should be able to hit a million easy. It's just a scaled down version of the big motor so why not? Like you say don't bomb real crazy and take care of it and you shouldn't have to worry whether you haul all the time or not, these engines are bulletproof plain and simple.

From the look of the heat shield on the exhaust manifold I don't think it was stock.

You can't tell the condition of the engine from a poor photo with a yellow tint. If you look closer you'll see yellow on the valve cover and a shiny upper hose. Looks like they sprayed something in there. So what?

I know these engines are designed to last and I'm glad they are. But until now the CR engines ('03, '04, ....) haven't really proved they were ready to go as far as the old mechanical injection engines, simply because they are still relatively new. Nice to see that many miles on one. It would be fun to look at the service records too. Has it had a new CP3? What kind and how many lift pumps? Etc, etc.
