High Idle on my 05 6spd kicked in!
It was cold this morning, about 27 degrees, when I started my truck up. I walked inside to grab some coffee when I noticed my engine kick it up a notch. I checked the tach, yep 1100rpms. I thought my new 05 6spd did not have the high idle feature, only auto's. Am I wrong?
The 6spds 03-05 have a high idle function when you get down below 30 degrees or so already programmed into the computer. If you walk away from the truck after starting, and let idle for about 2 min, the high idle kicks in. You should've noticed the grid heaters cycling too.
It's not quite the same thing on the automatics. On the automatics you can push the Cruise COntrol button to enable high idle at any temp, where you can't do that on the 6spds.

It does need to be plugged in to use this particular feature though.
