Help Please
Hello, I'm new to this forum and it is great. I have a question. See if anyone can help? I have a 06 Dodge Cummings 2500. I took it to the dealer ship a couple of months ago because of a no start(died while driving). They said all 6 injectors were bad and replaced the lift pump in the tank. Ever since I got it back, I only get about 13 MPG and the truck doesn't feel like the power is there. I was getting about 18 to 20 MPG before the no start. The dealer ship told me that was normal and the truck would straighten up. I took it in at about 53,000 miles and the odometer now reads 63,550 miles. The truck still acts the same and millage averages 12-14 MPG still. Been back to dealer ship and they say everything is fine. They also told me they installed new updated injectors. Any one have any advise or information on updated injectors. Your help is greatly appreciated.
This is why a very detailed work order is needed , being that it is an 06 , it should be under warranted , so that you can not get the old parts , if for no other reason , reference , the numbers on them .
Get the numbers off the ones that are in there now , some one may be able to give you more info .
Go back one more time and get the numbers if you can , also get any names of who you have been dealing with , and working on your truck , this could be a big deal , keep the truck long enough , and the cost of driving millage , will be lot .

The updated injectors have a coating on some of the internal parts to keep wear in control. I had a set put in mine too. My mileage did not drop though.
Before they replaced all 6 they replaced one and my mileage did drop but came back up after a few tanks of fuel.
Are you "making oil"?

The truck is under warranty and I did not get my parts back. The truck oil level has been the same. I quit driving the truck as much due to the excessive amount of fuel used. The truck does smoke ALOT under load and the engine is Stock. Also, does anyone know what the difference between the H.O. , 600 , and 610 series Cummings. What are the changes. I'm going to take the truck to another dealer ship on Monday. Hope for the best.
