Help Please!
Today i was driving home, after filling up with 32 gallons of fuel, and noticed that my egt's on my attitude controller where up around 900 degrees. this caught my attention because normally at cruising speed they no higher than 550. what made it really interesting is that they where jumping around from 500-900. even at idling they were ranging from 700-900. when i got home imediatley check the edgd juice box, i had been fooling around with the fuse that it is connected to earlier, and thought maybe i didnt connect it correctly but everything seemed fine. i disconnected it and reconnected it, let it sit for a while and took it for a test drive. the egt's were back to normal but now the check engine light is on. could i have tripped something by messing with the fuse? any help would be greatly appreciated. i have an '04.5 with the edge juice w/ attitude
1. What is the code you are showing? You can turn the ignition on/off three times finishing with it on and it will display the codes, then say done.
2. Are there any other symptoms that you are noticing? Surging when on/off the throttle? Rough idle? White smoke?
First check your oil to make sure the oil level is normal and it doesn't smell like diesel fuel. That is the tell tale sign of an injector stuck open. I would also check every connection of the Juice to the truck. If they aren't clean and tight you could have issues.
If none of that helps, it's time to take it to the dealer. I'm sure others will add there good advice.
I'm also sure you will hear the words "You pay, you play" a half dozen times as well. I'm not saying it, just guessing.
I had a problem once with the Juice on my 04.5. It stumbled set a code and then ran fine. I cleared the code and I called Edge and they replaced the Juice without hesitation. If you can't replicate the problem, call Edge. I'm sure they can help you, but they will want to know the code.
