Can someone please give me the part number for the drive shaft carrier bearing on a 4.5 3500 quad cab SRW the dealer is using 5093379AC and has reordered it four times and it keeps coming in the wrong part . They claim that their book states that the same carrier bearing is used on all trucks 1500 to 3500 and that can not be right . The bearing center size is half of what mine is on the one they keep getting . They do not know were to go from here and either do I so please give me some help if you can .

 

Bad news John, that is the correct part number for that application. They need to call another dealer that is not being serviced by the same parts depot anad see if they have the correct one. Sounds to me like their depot has gotten a batch of bad stock. They also need to call their depot and make them aware of the problem so that it can get handled properly.


PS.
Just checked stock at our depot and there is nothing in the entire country available for stock. So it may be that they have realized that the stock is bad and they are in the process of fixing it as we speak. We can only hope.
