Help me decide what intake to buy?

I had originally sold my self on the S+B intake then i realized it did not replace all of the intake piping.
So, As of now I am trying to figure out what intakes replace all of the intake tubing but here is where I am leaning:
AEM brute Force with the dry filter
S+B intake
possibly K&N

I will not do another AFE. Even with the sock I Had a big oil slick on fender wells when I drove through a hard rain and then had to reoil and clean the filter. This is part of the reason I like the
S+B so much because it is enclosed. But the AEM is dry and if it gets wet it will dry up and not need to be reoiled and cleaned.
I am not going to order until Tuesday the 2nd. So, you guys can discuss this awhile maybe some sight sponsors will chime in here and try to sway me.

what he said

Yeah, What he said. I've never been a big fan of the oil filters. What about the AEM BruteForce dry filter system? Anyone using it? Coming from a Powerstroke we used a Tymar set with a Cummins or Donaldson paper element open element filter, it was huge and really whistled. Is the oil really any better ??

I'm using the AEM Brute Force. I wanted a dry filter, and it was an easy install and plenty of whistle.

You might want to look into the AEM Workhorse. It's still a dry filter and flows more than the Brute Force.

I won't ever need the all the air a Work Horse can flow. l am trying to keep the truck as reliable as possible and will probably be trading them in every 2 to 3 years. I might buy a SMARTY but that will be it performance wise. I might kill the cat later but the Brute FOrce would be plenty enough air for me!

Does the Brute Force or the Work Horse replace all of the intake tubing?

It replaces the entire intake pipe. I got the polished pipe, it looks really good. I got mine off of E-bay, I beleive it was $230.00 shipped. You may be able to do better.

I got the AEM Brute Force as well and I like it a lot. It was just under $250.00 including shipping from xtremedieselperformance.com. It replaces everything before the turbo and definately gives a nice whistle.

P.S. - if you get one - don't pay attention to the filter minder when it gets sucked all the way down right after you install the intake. Its not accurate because it gets mounted in the intake tube. Just remember to clean the filter regularly.

Aem

For you folks with the AEM Brute Force on '06 models: I sell AEM and they tell me there are no kits in the Brute force line-up that fits. They say the part # from the '05 is different. One of the techs told me its a hood clearance issue. So my first question is how is the fit and finish on your '06's?
Also they told me the Workhorse for the '05 will fit on an '06 with no issues.

Question

How about the PSMBuick intake. It's cheap and looks effective. Add a nice high flow dry? Filter.
