HELP, Code PO336
Crank shaft pos sensor code, I've checked the plug(that my six gun connects to) and all seems ok, what else could it be. Would this be covered by the 100,000 mile warranty w/o a six gun connected to it
?
?
I'll post my issue here since most of the above info applies.
Here goes: Newly acquired 2003 with Banks 6 Gun, i've had and driven the truck for less than a week. Twice today the ENG. light came on. Checking the code with my Edge CTS i retrieve PO336. The previous owner just had the crank sensor replaced within a month or two. From what i've read this may not be a bad sensor, but maybe caused by the 6 Gun ? I find it hard to believe the new sensor has failed this soon although i know it's a possibility. I cleared the code and drove the truck on some errands, felt the hic-cup and noticed the light come on immediately.
Im not familiar with the 6 Gun or how it installs. I see the red module under the steering column. To remove this, is it simply unplug the harness and connect the factory pigtails together ? Or is there more to it ?
