Help!! Attempted theft damage??

Hi guys,
I haven't posted in awhile. Someone tried to steal my truck from a local park and ride. My wife got a nail in her tire so she drove the CTD today. They weren't able to steal it but broke my canopy window, rear slider and destroyed the entire ignition area.

The police called a tow truck for me. We couldn't shift the truck out of drive so the guy drug/winched it on the flat bed and pretty much shook it off the ramp at the dealer. That's 7500 lbs rocking back and forth on a locked rear axle. He said he's done it many times. Could this trash the driveline and/or transmission. I may have seen fluid coming from the front end somewhere. I am very concerned to say the least. How long out of service and what do you think the repairs will cost. Will this mess with the ECm/PCM? I was out of service for 24 days or so when my ECM was fried by the tech. Thanks guys.

I guess removing the drive-shaft wasn't an option for him?

Either way, I don't think it hurt anything.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't tow vehicles for a living so I took his word for it. My wife has a co-worker whose son has ran a towing business for years and said it was a bad call dragging it on and rocking it back and forth to slide it off. The last poster says it shouldn't have hurt anything. That would be great. Should I contact the towing company to at least voice my concern? Thanks again.

I would definately register a complaint with the towing company. First if there is damage you find later it is documented. Second, somebody needs to educate the driver on how it is supposed to be done. If nobody complains the driver never learns. Sorry 'bout the theives hopefully they get what they deserve. Glad they didn't get your truck though.
